Inauguration of the Distinguished Speaker Series by the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (FHSL) at SGT University
The chief guest for the event was Dr. Arvind Gupta (IFS - Retd.), currently the Director of the prestigious Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi. As a stellar diplomat, Dr. Gupta held several important positions, including that of Deputy National Security Adviser (2014 to 2017) and subsequently Secretary, National Security Council, Government of India. The purpose of the Distinguished Speaker Series is to discuss and analyze the wide-ranging dimensions of evolving global geopolitics that is marked by strategic alliances, rifts, and uncertainties.

Professor Najeeb Jung is the former Lt. Governor of Delhi, who was the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University. Sh. Jung has served in the Asian Development Bank and has been a key driver of energy research and transformation in Asia.Apart from his work in energy, he is a noted translator and poet, his latest work being a masterful translation of Mirza Ghalib.

Mr. Indu Bhushan, a former Indian bureaucrat and economist, served as the first CEO of Ayushman Bharat, revolutionizing healthcare across India. With degrees from top institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, he held key positions at the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Mr. Bhushan emphasized the need for more hospital beds in rural areas while managing costs and advocated for digital reforms.

Mr. Nag's educational background includes degrees from IIT and the London School of Economics. His expertise has solidified his reputation as a leading figure in international development.

Mohammad Sami is a theoretical physicist and cosmologist known for his work on dark energy. Along with his technical research, he strongly encourages the importance of popularizing science in society. He is the recipient of several national and international awards and fellowships, such as the Hon'ble President of India Visitor's Award for path-breaking research in cosmology and astrophysics in 2015.
