Prakash Utsav: SGTU Walks on the Trails of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji

To mark the celebration of Prakash Utsav of the Tenth Guru Gobind Singh Ji on December 29,2019, a Nagar kirtan rally was taken out from Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib to Gurudwara Shree Guru Singh Sabha, Fateh Nagar.

The students of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University participated in ‘Nagar kirtan’ and marched while singing religious hymns with great fervor and religious gaiety. Several faculty members of SGT fraternity accompanied this Jatha of enthusiasts and stood distinct amongst all participating students from different city schools and colleges.

Keeping this thought in mind ‘No cause is bigger than helping humanity’, a team of dedicated doctors from SGT Hospital conducted the camp which included blood pressure, sugar, skin, and eye(glaucoma) check-up.

The changing weather and moisture often spike eyes and skin infection related disorders. Necessary medical advice and precautionary measures were also given to all the people. The medical camp along with checkup also spread awareness about various health and hygiene issues among the people.

The camp got a tremendous response from the people. Several people participated and a large number of patients were examined. Such activities are a regular part of the University and the camp gave an immense exposure to all the students and the gentry who were an integral part of the camp.

Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor expressed ‘A chance to let our students participate in such events like these provides a great opportunity and platform for us to showcase the academic and spiritual grooming that these students are brought up with’ The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor, and revere.
