Goals:
- Capacity building of the facilitators to achieve excellence in imparting and disseminating knowledge of one’s domain/discipline.
- Updation and Innovation of teaching methodologies for advanced facilitator and learner interaction.
- Tailoring teaching as per the learner needs and capabilities (adopting the Universal Design of Learning).
- Undertake research for improvisation, innovation, and self-reflection for evidence-based teaching.
- Establish collaboration with like-minded institutes for knowledge sharing and transfer.
Objectives
The facilitator trained in this centre should be able to:
- Effectively impart and disseminate the knowledge to the learner.
- Identify the learner characteristics and appreciate the aspirations, potential, social, and emotional needs of the learner for customized teaching.
- Follow ethics and etiquettes in education.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of education.
- Elucidate and apply the principles of various philosophies of education (Knowles, Bloom’s, SOLO).
- Appreciate the social, regional, state, and national needs and requirements of the community.
