The Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CoE-AI) at SGT University serves as a pioneering hub to foster innovation, inter-disciplinary research, and transformative applications of AI across diverse domains. The Centre is established with the vision of promoting impactful AI-driven research and collaboration between academia, industry, and society.

CoE-AI focuses on developing next-generation intelligent systems through cutting-edge research in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI, and AI Ethics. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, including high-performance computing resources and advanced AI tool-kits, the Centre aims to empower researchers, faculty, and students to explore AI’s potential in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, law, management, and smart systems.

By integrating research, training, and real-world applications, CoE-AI drives innovation that contributes to sustainable development and enhances India’s position in global AI advancements.

To foster collaborations with academia, industry, and government organizations for impactful research and technology transfer.
To create an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship, product development, and intellectual property generation in the field of AI.

Objectives:

To advance research in core and applied areas of AI including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Computer Vision.
To establish inter-disciplinary coordination cells to promote domain-specific AI research and innovation across various schools/faculties of the University.
To provide high-performance computing and AI development infrastructure for researchers and students.
To conduct specialized training programs, workshops, and conferences for capacity-building in AI and emerging technologies.
To collaborate with industry and international institutions for joint projects, publications, and technology deployment.
To encourage the development of indigenous AI models, datasets, and frameworks addressing regional and societal challenges.
