Faculty of Nursing

Faculty of Nursing (Formerly Dashmesh College of Nursing) a constituent of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University aims to serve the society by providing better health care facilities to the needy at an affordable cost. It was established in 2012 and progressing at a very high speed. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and State Nursing Council, Haryana. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Govt. of India. Faculty of nursing is providing to the nursing students enrich the academic training of very high quality and prepares them to fulfil their career aspiration.

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) 03 years 10+2 with at least 40% marks
B. Sc. (Nursing) 08 Semesters
  • Age of 17 years or more on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • 10+2 pass or equivalent with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with at least 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
B. Sc. (Post Basic Nursing) 04 Semesters
  • Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 pass from Board of School Education, Haryana or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Board/University and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the areas: O.T. Techniques/ Ophthalmic Nursing/ Leprosy Nursing/ TB Nursing/ Psychiatric Nursing/ Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing/ Community Health Nursing/Cancer Nursing/ Orthopedic Nursing
  • The candidate should be medically fit.
M. Sc. (Community Health Nursing) 04 Semesters
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  • B. Sc. Nursing/B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum one-year work experience after B. Sc. Nursing. OR
  • Minimum one-year work experience is prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
M. Sc. [Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing] 04 Semesters
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  • B. Sc. Nursing/B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum one-year work experience after B. Sc. Nursing. OR
  • Minimum one-year work experience is prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
M. Sc. [Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing] 4 Semesters
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  • B. Sc. Nursing/B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum one-year work experience after B. Sc. Nursing. OR

M. Sc. (Obstetric & Gynaecological Nursing) 04 Semesters
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  • B. Sc. Nursing/B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum one-year work experience after B. Sc. Nursing. OR
  • Minimum one-year work experience is prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
M. Sc. (Medical-Surgical Nursing) 4 Semesters
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  • B. Sc. Nursing/B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum one-year work experience after B. Sc. Nursing. OR
  • Minimum one-year work experience is prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
Nurse Practitioner In Critical Care 2 years Registered B. Sc. Nurse from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with at least 55% aggregate marks and with a minimum of one-year clinical experience, preferably in any critical care
PhD (Nursing) 3 Years M. Sc. (Nursing) with atleast 55% marks
