Cdr. (Dr.) Arvind Mathur
Cdr. (Dr.) Arvind Mathur has over 30 years of experience in the Armed Forces, national labs, industry and academia. He has a PhD in Energy Systems and Engineering from IIT Bombay, MS in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University and BTech from the Naval College of Engineering. He was closely associated with research and development in the indigenous nuclear submarine program for many years. Post his naval service, he worked in a technology startup company for two years. Then he moved to academics and was Associate Dean of the School of Technology Management and Engineering, NMIMS University before taking up his current appointment.
His research interests lie in the field of computational reactor physics, renewable energy and climate change research. During his tenure at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, he developed an advanced lattice physics code that is being used extensively for design studies of nuclear power reactors. He has a number of publications in international journals and has presented his work in numerous conferences in India and abroad.
