Dr. M.K. Nair is currently Dean, Faculty of Fashion & Design, SGT University. Before joining SGTU, he served as Dean/Director at VIFT, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow and BFAD fashion course [Bachelor of Fashion & Design, 4 Years degree course] founder member of UPTU. He was served as head of the Fashion department at LIET, Rajasthan Technical University, Rajasthan. He is active member of Board of Studies (BOS) since 2006 from various Universities (UPTU, RTU). He worked as a designer cum merchandiser for different National and International brands ( Hidesign, Sfera etc. ). He has both Industry and Academic administrative experience and he published research papers and articles for Times of India. He is having versatile competence to develop the new fashion Institutions and associate with academics for various fashion Institutions in India.

Through the Artistic and Fashion Associate programs, SGTU-FFD supports new and critical innovations in the field of Fashion and Culture using real-world projects to enable an integrated cognition of the Design and communication arena, facilitating at times an environment where one can “learn – earn & learn”.
