Out Reach Dental Activity Report by Public Health Dentistry in Collaboration with Rotary Club

The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening program on 13th October 2018 at Mahavir International School, Sector 17, Gurgaon. This programme was conducted in collaboration with The Rotary Club of Gurgaon, South City. Mr Ravinder Jain and other members were also present throughout the programme to motivate and support the team. The Dental Checkup was headed by Dr Ankit Kalra (Tutor ) along with 3 interns and 1 attendant. Around 218 children were examined. Children who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT University for further procedures. An awareness activity was organised within School campus, delivering proper brushing technique. Toothpaste was distributed to all the children present there. The session was concluded by giving oral health education speech to the School children and their Class teachers. The purpose of the Oral Health talk was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care.
