The Faculty members and Postgraduate students from the Department of Public Health Dentistry attended the 23rd National Conference of Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry held at Divya Jyoti Dental College and Research Centre, Modinagar from 2nd December to 30th December 2018. The association was also celebrating its 25 years of formation at the event. The theme for the conference was “Affordable and Accessible Oral Health Care”. Dr Shourya Tandon (Professor and Head), Dr Sachin Chand (Reader), Dr Abhinav Bhargava (Sr. Lecturer) attended the conference. Dr Shourya Tandon was bestowed with the responsibility of organizing the whole scientific program for the 3-day national conference. Dr Sachin Chand presented the paper on the topic ‘Oral Health Status and Oral Hygiene Practices amongst school children of village Budhera, Gurugram’ and Dr Abhinav Bhargava presented Paper on the topic ‘Assessment of Knowledge and Information Sources of Common Risk Factors- Need For affordable and Accessible Oral Care Delivery’. Postgraduate students; Dr Sonia Raina presented a paper on topic ‘Assessment of Oral Health and Nutritional Status Among School Children and Dr Tanvi Bhardwaj presented a paper on topic ‘Assessment of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice pertaining to Preventive Dentistry among Dental Practitioners in Gurugram District, Haryana’. Dr Priyanka presented E-poster on ‘Potable water’ and Dr Aanchal presented E-poster on ‘Universal Oral Health Coverage’. Dr Sonia Raina got the first prize and Dr Tanvi Bhardwaj and Dr Priyanka got the third prize in their respective sessions at the conference. Overall it was a rich scientific source of learning for the whole team.
