World AIDS Day Celebrations
Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University will be celebrating WORLD AIDS DAY. 1st December of every year is observed as World AIDS Day to enforce the importance of educating every member of society about ending the stigma associated with HIV -AIDS, encourage testing, taking all necessary precautions and useful ness of Anti-retroviral therapies.
As part of this year’s celebration, the programme will be carried out at Dental Unit, SGT Medical Hospital, SGT University which is an outreach location being managed by Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences.
Following Activities will be carried out on the day:
- Health Talk by Postgraduate students and showcasing of educational videos
- Pledge boards will be displayed at prominent locations and people will be encouraged to show solidarity by taking a photograph with the pledge board
- HIV-AIDS logo in the form of red ribbons will be distributed to make people aware and reinforce the concepts
Team Public Health Dentistry are doing their bit and request each and every member of SGT University to be a part of the initiative and propagate the message forward.
