SYNERGY 2019: A Carnival of Student’s Innovation
Synergy 2019 – The mega fest of energy and ideas of 20,000 students from more than 300 schools and colleges in Delhi NCR began on October 10, 2019 at SGT University campus, Gurgaon. The seeds of Synergy were sown in the year 2017 and since then there was no looking back. Synergy as the name suggests is an amalgamation of energy and ideas. Young minds use their inventiveness and fervour to create new projects that find solutions to real life issues. Synergy is fundamental to research innovation and economic vitality and healthy environment. Most of the innovation are rooted in inter disciplinary efforts.
SYNERGY 2019 rolled out from October 10 to October 12, 2019. Faculties and students from various schools and colleges of Delhi NCR participated in this three day event. More than 300 schools and colleges participated in this grand fest. More than 20000 students from different schools and colleges showcased their projects. The projects covered topics ranging from science, technology, arts, law, commerce etc. Here one got to explore the marvels of engineering and technology. More than 250 stalls were on display. Some of the basic highlights of the event will be Nukkad Nataks, Robotics, Project Innovations and Drone competition. Nukkad Natak is where one got to hear the voices from the streets. It is where young minds displayed their performing potential in front of the crowd. The themes dealt with topics like Beti Bachao, Beti Padao Andolan, Harmful effects of Plastic, Depletion of Ground water, Awareness about Pollution etc. Robotic competition too, was quite action packed. Robo-War, Robo-race and innovation challenge intrigued the audience. In project innovation the projects themes revolved around scientific solutions for different challenges in life. ‘War of Wings’ was one of the highlight of the events. Shri Mukul Kanitkar, National Organizing Secretary from Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, ‘Shri Harbhajan Singh’, Director General & Corporate Affairs at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. , Shri Sudhansh Pant, Joint Secretary from Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Sah-Sarakaryavaah (Joint General Secretary) from Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, graced the occasion as chief guests on the consecutive days of the events. Synergy 2019 was in true sense the carnival of innovations.
A Conclave of Innovation Cumulating All Specialities
knowledge is the highest service of mankind’ inspired by this philosophy, SGT (Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary) University organized Synergy 2018 a multidisciplinary platform for catalyzing the growth of creativity, innovation and research from 10th to 12th October 2018. The concept of Synergy -2018 was envisioned for the first time in the year 2017. Its aim was at synergizing the young minds to be creative and innovative.
The synergy provides an appropriate platform for the students to showcase their talent and innovative ideas for the betterment of the future. Students showcased their projects. The participating faculties were:- Ayurveda, Engineering, Agriculture, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Law, Fashion, Education, Allied Health Sciences, Physiotherapy, Behavioral Sciences, Nursing, Commerce, Physical Sciences, Hotel Management, Mass Communication. Honorable Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Communication & Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Railways, Shri Manoj Sinha as Chief Guest and Director and Chief Innovation Officer, National Innovation Foundation-India, an autonomous body of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, Dr. Vipin Kumar were the Guest of Honor graced on the inauguration ceremony of Synergy-2018. Besides, encouraging & supporting its own students & Faculty for research and innovation, SGT University also reached out to various schools and colleges in Gurugram and Delhi-NCR for creating and upgrading their innovative skills. The University encourages and supports the promising projects and deserving students to make India proud. Events such as these not only showcase upcoming talents and innovations but also the
invincible human spirit which aims to fight against all kinds of adversities, natural or manmade, and emerge victorious in the game of life. On a concluding day, Additional chief secretary to Government of Haryana, Home, jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Department, Shri S. S. Prasad IAS (Haryana 1984) distributed prizes to the deserving participants in the presence of SGT University dignitaries, Directors, Deans, Faculty members and teachers from various schools. SGT University is passionate about grooming the nation’s youth to grow into good human beings and excellent professionals destined to become torchbearers of their respective domains. We conduct a plethora of short duration skill enhancement and syllabus enrichment workshops related to areas of management specializations and emerging technologies. Also,such initiatives like Synergy is partof the activity that SGT offers. Our main mission is to make our students innovative, inclusive and extraordinary.

SGT University aims at the holistic development of students and prepares them for the challenges of the future. SGT University believes in creating professionals who can actually think, research and innovate.
In the year 2017, SGT University started its annual techno fest SYNERGY. SYNERGY literally means the convergence of various disciplines in order to produce innovative ideas. Through this fest, SGTU reached out to various schools of Delhi-NCR. Synergy saw a footfall of more than 15000 students from 180 schools. About 60 schools presented their projects in SYNERGY 2017 which was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister, Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar. He was quite impressed by the innovations and research-based projects. He took a personal interest in the projects related to agriculture and emphasized the fact that vertical farming was the future of farming as showcased by the Faculty of Agriculture. He particularly appreciated the projects ‘Maize Grain Remover’, Hydroponics, and Aquaponics.
Apart from the Faculty of Agriculture, the projects displayed by other faculties are also worthy of mention, such as an innovative mouthwash created by Faculty of Ayurveda and Dental Sciences. Another noteworthy project displayed by the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Engineering showcased a miraculous aid for the patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
One of the major highlights of Synergy 2017 was a quiz contest in which the General Knowledge, Science, History and Mental Aptitude was put to test and encouraged the thinking capability of students. SGTU conducted an inter-school quiz that was held on December 8, 2017, with a motto to encourage student thinking capability. The winners from each school were duly awarded in the valedictory function of 2017. Certificates and attractive prizes were given to the students including printers, tablets, power banks etc. while the schools were honoured with trophies. Participants were presented with a laptop bag and a copy of SGT University Student magazine- Youth Pulse. Three universities were presented with the best innovative project, best research project, and the best educative project.
Synergy 2017 definitely encouraged out of the box thinking and cutting edge technology. It sowed the seeds for a future where innovation and creativity were the essence of life.
