Prior to joining as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of SGT University on October 1, 2013, Prof. Daleep Singh served the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak as an academician and researcher in various capacities for over 36 years. His important assignments include Dean, Colleges Development Council from 2007- 2013, founder Director of the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management from 2005-2013, Dean and Director of Faculty of Management Sciences from 1998-2001, Director of Distance Education from 2001- 2002 and 2007, Director of Public Relations of the University from 2005-2007, and Chairman of the Department of Fine Arts from 1995-1997. Besides being Professor of Management and holding several administrative positions, he has been member of all statutory and other bodies of M.D. University—Board of Studies, University Admissions Committee, Research Committee, Academic Council and Executive Council—and Expert Member on Research Boards, Board of Studies and Faculties of numerous other universities. He has also been on Academic Advisory Boards of Management and Engineering Institutions and University nominee on Governing Bodies of several colleges affiliated to M.D. University. Prof. Singh has been member of various Research Projects Evaluation Committees, Inspection Committees of AICTE and National Board of Accreditation, member of Expert Committee for Award of Commonwealth Fellowship and on Editorial and Advisory Boards of several research journals. His academic endeavor comprises of authoring of a book on Corporate Leadership, research papers in journals of repute, and organization of numerous conferences, seminars, workshops. He delivered over four hundred extension lectures, supervised over a score Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars, and evaluated more than a hundred theses/dissertations. Dr. Singh has been decorated with five awards for his UTKRIST services, expansion of management education and excellence in academics by the University and Industry and Management Associations.

He is also discharging the responsibilities of the Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management
