Dr. Sukhvir Singh is a distinguished figure in the realm of textiles, boasting a rich academic background. He earned his bachelor's degree from the esteemed Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences and went on to achieve both a master's degree and a Ph.D. from NIT Jalandhar. Dr. Singh has garnered recognition as a Design Evangelist for his profound contributions to fabric quality, technical textiles, fashion merchandising, and computer-aided fashion design. Over the course of his illustrious career, Dr. Singh has held positions at renowned design institutions such as Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design, Pune, Mody University of Science and Technology, Amity University Haryana, Vardhman Textile, and NIT Jalandhar. His extensive experience spans more than 11 years, dedicated to the field of design academics encompassing fashion materials, fashion merchandising, and computer-aided fashion design. Dr. Singh's impact on the field extends beyond academia, as he has successfully completed numerous extramural and intramural-funded projects. The outcomes of these projects have been published in prestigious international research journals indexed in SCOPUS, SCI, and WOS. His remarkable contributions extend to his administrative roles, where he has served as a member of the Board of Studies, Academic Council, and IQAC while heading the School of Design at Mody University of Science and Technology.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Singh has shown a commitment to research with a profound societal impact. He has supervised and evaluated Ph.D. candidates on topics of significant social relevance. His dedication and excellence have not gone unnoticed, as he has been honored with the "Best Teacher Award" and the "Best Researcher Award" for his outstanding contributions to both teaching and research. He has received the "Most Creative Design Collection" award further cementing his status as a Design Evangelist and a luminary in the world of fashion and textiles.
