Ms. Devleena Mazumdar

Ms. Devleena Mazumdar joined Faculty of Fashion and Design, SGT University, Gurugram as an Adjunct Professor. She brings in 9+ years of industry experience in different genres of fashion such as apparel designing across Women, Men and Kids. She has a rich work experience in Leather design, Footwear design, Accessories and Home furnishing as well as Fashion and social media communication. She received her Fashion Design degree from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Patna in 2014 and since has been working in the industry with the export-buying and retail industry. She started her career in designing by working for the European Market – brands like ASDA, Next, Dunnes etc. Prior to Joining SGT, she was working for luxury labels like Ralph Lauren, DVF & other US based brands like Cold water creek, DSRL, J.Jill, QVC etc. where she also had the opportunity to travel to international fairs & markets. Additionally, she has also worked for domestic retail and done ethnic wear designing for renowned brands like FabIndia, KharaKapas, Indian Roots, RustOrange, Trisvara etc. She is also involved with MSME foundations working on developing craft centres through design resources across India. She has an expertise in forecasting & design curating process along with a strong sense of communication skills & presentation adapted to fashion industry. Besides these she has a Fine Arts degree from Bangiya Parishad school of arts affiliated with Shantiniketan. She has a strong interest in sports like target shooting, swimming etc. She also shares a keen interest in photography, travelling and reading.
