Prof. Sam Raj Nesamony earned his Ph.D in Modern English Education from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Having studied his Secondary education at the London Missionary School, Kanyakumari and Graduation from St.Jude’s College, he joined the Centenary batch student for MA English Language and Literature at the Scott Christian College, Nagercoil, and completed M.Ed and M.Phil later. He was one among the twenty scholars selected globally to attend a Research Methodology Course at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, where he was trained on Qualitative Research Methods in September 2018. He also attended a two-week Certificate Course on Qualitative Research Methods at NUEPA, New Delhi in July 2019. Prof. Sam Nesamony was an English Education Consultant at National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi; Assistant Professor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at SRM University, Delhi-NCR; and Associate Professor at Aramaia Group of Institutions, Kerala. He is Professor at the Centre for Languages and Communication at SGT University, Gurugram, Delhi-NCR and teaches Research Methodology, Communication Skills in English, English Language, Literature, Cultural Studies and Modern Education to Graduate, Post-graduate and Doctoral students. He has been offering lectures on Communication Skills in English, Research Methodology (Qualitative), Induction lectures, Modern Education and so on, and also working with various committees like NAAC, IQAC, Literary and Literacy Clubs etc. His perseverance led him to start BA English Honours and MA English Programmes, and was Coordinator, Research Methodology Course for all PhD students at SRM University, and identified by the Vice Chancellor as the best Press Reporter, Report writer, and Editor-University Newsletter. His reports on Seminars, workshops, symposiums, and other programmes of the University proved his innate and prolific talents in writing and reporting. Prof. Sam Nesamony presented papers on English Language, Modern English Education, Higher Education and Social History of Medicine at Yale University, USA; Chicago University, USA; Katholikeit Universiteit Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven), Belgium; Shanghai University, China; Jawaharlal Nehru University; Delhi University; Patiala University, Kerala University and so on. He had two presentations at Yale University in 2011 and 2013, and was awarded Stowe Fund of Yale University, fellowships of ICHR (Indian Council for Historical Research) and ICSSR (Indian Council for Social Science Research), New Delhi. He was also a recipient of Wellcome Trust Award, University of Oxford. He published papers on English Language, Communication Skills, Modern English Education, Higher Education and Social History of Medicine in reputed and well-established journals and edited volumes. He has been a teacher trainer on Communication Skills in English language and trained more than 500 teachers throughout India.
