Dr. Nitesh K. Chourasia working as a Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana. He did his Ph.D. in Physics at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), Varanasi. He also worked as a Research Associate at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM). Dr. Chourasia was awarded the esteemed National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) for his project titled ‘Surface Functionalized 2D MXenes Based Toxic Gas Sensor for Wearable Electronics.’ He served as a NPDF at the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, from January 2022 to December 2023, contributing significantly to this cutting-edge research endeavor. Dr. Chourasia holds a specialized research proficiency in Materials Science, spanning Thin Film Devices, Optoelectronics Devices, High-k Metal Oxide for Field Effect Transistor and Photodetector, and exploration of 2D Materials for gas sensor. He boasts a remarkable record of impactful, peer-reviewed publications, demonstrating a commitment to scholarly excellence. With scholarly diligence, he has authored 28 research publications with noteworthy SCI impacts and has provided valuable contributions to 5 book chapters. Additionally, he actively engages in international and national conferences, seminars, and workshops on a regular basis. Dr. Chourasia provided mentorship to numerous Master’s students during their dissertation work and has guided doctoral candidates through their research journeys. He is life member of Indian Physics Association (IPA), Materials Research Society of India (MRSI), Society for Materials Chemistry (SMC), Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) and member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
