The Faculty Induction Training Programme for Teachers, organized by the Centre of
Excellence for Andragogical and
Pedagogical Sciences (CEAPS), SGT University, in collaboration with NITTTR
Chandigarh, was successfully conducted from
16th to 20th February 2026 at SGT University, Gurugram.
The programme was thoughtfully designed to equip faculty members with contemporary
pedagogical knowledge and practical
teaching skills aligned with the vision of NEP-2020. It commenced with sessions on
Education 4.0 and the role of
educators in developing Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA), setting a strong
foundation for the days ahead. Core
themes such as outcome-based education, learner psychology, and instructional
planning were explored in depth under the
guidance of Dr. A.B. Gupta and Dr. Sanjiv Gupta.
The programme further emphasized innovative pedagogical approaches in line with
NEP-2020, collaborative teaching
methods, and the integration of emerging technologies in education. Sessions led by
Dr. Amandeep Kaur focused on
assessment design, development of test items, and the use of online assessment
tools, enabling participants to adopt
more structured and learner-centric evaluation strategies.
A key highlight was the introduction to AI-driven teaching-learning tools, including
chatbots and AR-VR applications,
along with insightful discussions on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in
academic content creation and
research, led by Sh. Gaurav Kumar.
The programme also included practical components such as rubric design and teach
sessions, allowing participants to
apply their learning in real-time. It concluded with course evaluation and
validation, ensuring reflection and
consolidation of key takeaways.
Overall, the programme provided a comprehensive platform for faculty development,
fostering innovation, critical
thinking, and ethical practices in teaching, thereby preparing educators to create
dynamic and future-ready learning
environments.
