The Centre of Excellence for Andragogical and Pedagogical Sciences (CEAPS) hosted Teach Meet V on 10th April 2025, centred around the theme "Beyond the Classroom: Near-Peer and Experiential Teaching". Designed as an online knowledge-sharing platform, the session aimed to inspire faculty through real examples of student-centred and interdisciplinary pedagogies.
Ms. Pratibha Thakur, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, opened the session with a demonstration on AI Tools & Plug-Ins for Presentations. She introduced time-saving plug-ins such as Time Management tools and Mentimeter, which help in tracking presentation flow and managing slide timing effectively. Her session highlighted how AI can be seamlessly integrated into day-to-day teaching practices to enhance visual communication and pacing.
Dr. Naveen, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, led the second session on AI Tools for Graphic Representation of Data and Processes. He showcased tools such as Napkin AI, which simplifies the creation of complex diagrams and conceptual visuals, and an AI tool for anatomical illustration, useful in life sciences and medical education. His session emphasised how such tools can make abstract concepts more tangible and student-friendly.
Mr. Deepak, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts, conducted the final session on AI Tools for Classroom Engagement. He introduced tools like Temp Email for temporary student logins, Prompt Genie for creative classroom prompts, and Jeopardy-style quiz generators for gamified learning. His session focused on fostering interaction and motivation in both physical and virtual classrooms.
Overall, Teach Meet – VI effectively demonstrated the potential of AI to make teaching more efficient, engaging, and impactful, sparking interest among educators to further explore these tools in their own classrooms.
