Faculty of Education Celebrated World Hearing Day

World Hearing Day
On Friday 3rd March 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University Celebrated World Hearing Day. The Event was coordinated by Mr. Sandeep Kumar and Co-Coordinate by Mr. Praveen Kumar and other faculty members Ms. Poonam Talwar and Ms. Divya Sharma Department of Special Education, SGT University.
Nearly 80 students participated in the awareness program. During the event, the rally was carried out around the whole village. The students along with hoarding, banners, and pamphlets sensitized villagers regarding Hearing impairment. Students were collect data from Gubhana village through the door-to-door survey. The program ended on a positive note. Students and villagers enjoyed the program thoroughly.
Objective: The program mainly focused on
- Awareness on Hearing loss
- Awareness on Causes of Hearing loss
- Awareness on prevention of Hearing loss
- Awareness on early identification and early intervention of children with Hearing impairment.
Suggestions/Remarks – Epilepsy Day celebrations have many positive impacts and play an important role in promoting awareness, understanding, and support for individuals living with epilepsy.
