IPR Cell
The purpose of the IPR cell is to facilitate, encourage, promote, and safeguard scientific inquiry, research pursuits, and the academic freedom of its faculty, researchers, and students. IPR cell conducts activities to provide a clear understanding of the rights and responsibilities of the faculty, staff, and students to protect their IPs generated through research work. The IPR cell is dedicated to cultivating an innovation environment that encourages the generation of intellectual property (IP) and the advancement of IPR at University. SGT University has an IPR policy and has established procedures for converting the knowledge generated to wealth. The IPR cell ensures the expeditious processing and filing of applications for patents, designs, copyrights, and other related matters.
Function of
IPR Cell
- To create awareness and guide the faculty, staff and students of SGT University on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- To enable IP Policy adoption and implementation at the university.
- To manage IPR of SGT University.
- To disseminate knowledge on patents, patent regime in India and abroad and registration aspects.
- To work on enabling and supporting technology/IP transfer and commercialization of granted IPRs.
- To motivate Innovators to come up with new ideas and help them to protect the innovation.
- To conduct Workshops, Seminars and Training courses on IPR.
