7th Industry-Academia Annual Conclave 2024 celebrated by FWA and EPN

The distinguished 7th Industry-Academia Annual Conclave, organised by the Federation for World Academics (FWA) and Education Post News (EPN), this year's theme was "Employment & Employability: Ascending the Curve. SGT University Faculty of Agricultural Sciences actively participates in conclaves and expresses its views on the discussed topics in Education Post News (EPN). The event was held at the Hyatt Regency, RK Puram, New Delhi. The event brought together 200 of the education industry's most prominent voices for a day dedicated to altering India's employment and employability landscape.

The FWA Annual Conclave, largely regarded as a watershed moment, brought together academic visionaries, industry leaders, and innovative entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between academics and the workforce. This year's topic, Employment & Employability: Ascending the Curve, is a call to action for developing strategic solutions to boost job prospects and workforce readiness in India.

With over 200 delegates, including academic leaders, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs, the Conclave presented a one-of-a-kind networking and knowledge-sharing platform. This collaborative event included 50 startups set to transform the future of industry and employment, each presenting ground-breaking technologies that redefine the entrepreneurial spirit.


A notable highlight of the event were 20 thought-provoking panel discussions on issues critical to the future of employment. These panels discussed a variety of topics, including the influence of technological improvements on employability and the changing skill sets required in the 21st century workforce. In addition, industry executives and education pioneers discussed India's demographic dividend and the country's transforming skill environment, as well as the challenges and strategic answers required to construct an employable future.


The event recognised remarkable contributions to education and industry with unique prizes, inspiring others to strive for excellence. These honours demonstrate FWA's dedication to developing a culture of innovation, cooperation, and leadership throughout the educational system.


The Conclave's inaugural session, centred on Leveraging India's Demographic Dividend: Present and Future, featured distinguished speakers: Chief Guest, Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF), Chairman, NAAC, and NBA; Dr. Irfan A Rizvi, President, FWA; Dr. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Prof. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur; Prof. Col. S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Udaipur.


In addition, the IIRF Education effect Awards 2025: Honouring Excellence in Education recognised institutions that have reinvented the effect of education. These awards recognised pioneers who are revolutionising education and developing industry-ready talent. Each session is intended to inspire and accelerate India's progress towards a competent, employable, and thriving workforce. The 7th Industry-Academia Annual Conclave is more than just an event; it is a transformative movement aiming at reshaping India's employment landscape. Attendees got useful insights, formed meaningful connections, and investigated paths to increased employability. The Conclave, which brings together 50 distinguished Vice Chancellors, Directors, and Principals from top educational institutions, as well as influential venture capitalists looking to invest in new startups, serves as a foundation for collaboration and innovation in India.
