Central Scientific Instrumentation Facility (CSIF)
About Central Scientific Instrumentation Facility (CSIF)
The Central Scientific Instrumentation Facility (CSIF) is a state-of-the-art centralized
research facility established
under the aegis of the Research and Development Cell at SGT University. Strategically
located at the heart of the
university, CSIF is designed to promote high-quality, high-throughput research by
fostering interdisciplinary
collaboration across biology, chemistry, agriculture, structural biology, and analytical
sciences.
The primary objective of the centre is to strengthen the research ecosystem by
supporting extramural research projects,
particularly in areas such as drug discovery and applied sciences. CSIF also focuses on
capacity building through skill
enhancement and hands-on training programs for students and faculty members, thereby
contributing to the development of
a strong research foundation within the university.
Vision
To establish the Central Scientific Instrumentation Facility (CSIF) as a centre
of excellence that nurtures scientific
innovation and individual research excellence through value-based,
interdisciplinary, and holistic approaches. In
alignment with SGT University's vision, CSIF aspires to integrate advanced
scientific infrastructure with ethical
research practices, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration across
biological, chemical, and analytical sciences.
The Centre envisions empowering students, researchers, and industry partners by
adopting contemporary technologies and
promoting skill development, thereby advancing impactful research, sustainable
solutions, and a knowledge-driven,
globally responsible scientific community.
