Cardiac Perfusion and Renal
The Department of Cardiac, Perfusion & Renal Dialysis Technology was established under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, SGT University in the year 2019. The vision of the department is to create world-class well-educated, competent Cardiac technologist, Cardiac Sonographer & Cath lab Technologist, Cardiac Perfusionist & Renal Dialysis Technologist who would contribute as healthcare professionals giving meaningful contributions in healthcare setups, patient care, and research.
Department of Cardiac, Perfusion & Renal Dialysis Technology plays a vital role in healthcare by training professionals who perform diagnostic tests, like ECG, TMT (STRESS ECG),2D Echocardiography, Holter Monitor, Ambulatory BP Monitor and assist the Cardiologist during Cardiac Cath Procedure and quality of patient care and Treatment. Cardiac Perfusionist has the main role to operate the heart & Lung Machine we can say Right hand of the Cardiac Surgeon. Renal Dialysis Technologist has the main role to do Dialysis. This field bridges medical science and technology, equipping students with the skills needed to operate sophisticated equipment and ensure accurate Diagnostic test, Cardiac Surgeries and Dialysis.
Cardiac technologist, Cardiac Sonographer & Cath lab Technologist, Cardiac Perfusionist & Renal Dialysis Technologist work behind the scenes in healthcare, supporting physicians and specialists in diagnosing and treating diseases. Their work is Critical to early detection, disease prevention, and patient care.
The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge and practical training in clinical Cardiology, Cardiac Diseases both adult & Paediatric, Non-Invasive Cardiac Tests, Cath lab Procedure, Cardiac Surgeries (adult & Paediatrics) renal disease, clinical Presentation, Dialysis Technique human anatomy, physiology & hospital management.
This course offers a vast career opportunity for both graduates and postgraduates. Graduates can work in hospitals and clinics, research laboratories, companies, public health departments post-graduates are eligible to teach in academic institutions or conduct training for new professionals, Setting up independent diagnostic laboratories, Dialysis unit setup.
