Clinical Psychology
Clinical psychology is the stream of psychology that aims at evaluative, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects related to mental illnesses and psychological difficulties. In therapeutic work with a clinical psychologist, various therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioural, psychoanalytic and family therapy, can help the patient overcome emotional and behavioural disorders. They work with patients of any age, ranging from children to teenagers, adults and older adults, who may visit their treatment rooms in hospitals, clinics, schools and offices. In addition, clinical psychologists contribute to research and knowledge to better understand various reasons and create better treatments to cure mental issues.
The Department of Clinical Psychology at SGT University, which falls under the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences, designs its curriculum in a way that enables the knowledgeable understanding of various concepts that are coupled together in the form of an academic program that reflects the entire clinical psychologist identity with all the competency needed for it.
