On March 16th, 2023, SGT University’s Scholar’s Council organized a Felicitation Ceremony to acknowledge and reward the hard work of its meritorious students with scholarships for college students 2022-23 batch.

Research is highly valued at SGT University, and the Scholars’ Council plays a significant role in inspiring students toward research and providing them with the necessary resources to achieve success.

Research is a crucial component of academic excellence, and at SGT University, it is taken very seriously. The Scholars’ Council at SGT University comprises experienced educators who are passionate about guiding and mentoring students on their academic journey.

Without research, it is difficult to innovate, and without innovation, progress is impossible

SGT University is committed to inspiring young students toward research and providing them with the necessary financial and academic resources to bolster their chances of success and breakthroughs.

The Scholar’s Council plays a pivotal role in achieving this aim by promoting interdisciplinary research and mobilizing knowledge around critical public issues and ethical values.

The felicitation program event was held at the C Block Auditorium, SGT University, and was attended by prominent guests, including Dr. Harvinder Popli, Director of SPS and DIIF at DPSRU, who was the chief guest, and Mr. Shekhar Taneja, Managing Director of Suave Automotive Corporation, who was the Guest of Honour.

During the felicitation ceremony, meritorious students were honored with scholarship checks, and the Best 6 Research Projects for the session 2022-23 were awarded. The awards given were in the following categories:

• In Medical Sciences, students from the Faculty of Physiotherapy received the First Prize, the Faculty of Pharmacy received Second Prize, and the Faculty of Nursing received the third prize for their research projects.

• In Non-medical Sciences, students from the Faculty of Law received the First Prize, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology received Second Prize, and the Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciencess received the third prize for their research projects.

•All the students who conducted research projects were awarded a certificate of Participation

Dr. Popli, in her felicitation ceremony speech, emphasized the importance of translational research in academia and praised SGT for encouraging it. She congratulated the young scholars on their achievements and stated that academic research, when translated to practical applications, will have a direct and significant impact on society.

Mr. Taneja encouraged the scholars to prioritize their health and believe in themselves before embarking on their academic journey toward success.

The Scholar’s Council at SGT University is committed to instilling a “research habit” in students from a young age and is dedicated to making education accessible to all by providing a wide range of scholarships for college students.
