  1. SGT University hosts Yogi Amandeep Singh at its campus.

The latest news from SGT University was that Yogi Amandeep Singh, a renowned psychotherapist, counselor, and authority in the field of yogic sciences, paid a visit to the campus to hold a session with the students there. The purpose was to support SGTU members in managing stress and anxiety as well as avoiding distractions in the twenty-first century.

Mr. Singh primarily discussed the idea of the Primordial Darkness (Mahakal) throughout the hour-long presentation. Every one of us possesses this dark space, according to him, which is the source of every thought, perception, action, and emotion we have ever experienced. Additionally, he claimed that by accessing and controlling this Mahakal, we can bring about good thoughts and feelings.

Thereafter, Mr. Singh led the group through a series of sitting and standing exercises that would aid in the transformation. 3. Connecting the dots between AI and Media.

The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology at SGT University recently hosted a lecture on the subject of “Artificial Intelligence and Media Education.” Prof. Dr. Surbhi Dahiya, course director for the English Journalism Department at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, spoke as the event’s keynote speaker.

Dr. Surbhi Dahiya stressed during the lecture how quickly artificial intelligence has advanced in recent years. She spoke about how technological advancements like artificial intelligence are enabling previously unthinkable tasks and how this creates uncertainty about job security across all industries. Dr. Dahiya cautioned the audience, though, that since artificial intelligence is a creation of the human mind, it cannot in any way rival human intelligence.

She went on to say that the use of artificial intelligence in the field of education, particularly in media education, can be very advantageous. 4. Physio camp by the Dept. of Physiotherapy at Little Angle Play School!

On May 6th, 2023, the Department of Physiotherapy at SGT University organized a Physiotherapy camp in Rawta village with the assistance of Mr. Yashpal Sharma, Director of Little Angle Play School, as per the SGT University Latest News. Fourteen BPT final semester and MPT first-year students assessed and treated over 50 villagers under the guidance of Dr. Himanshu Rakheja, an Assistant Professor of FPHY from SGT University.

During the camp, Mr. Sharma emphasized the importance of physical health for mental well-being, stating that “Every single person must take care of their physical health these days. Good physical health ensures well mental being.” According to the latest updates from SGT University, Dr. Rakheja, and his team members examined every single villager and helped them. They emphasized that physiotherapy is necessary for people of all ages to keep themselves fit, especially for rural sportspersons who may not have access to proper techniques while playing sports, and it can help them avoid any kind of internal injury. Dr. Rakheja added, “One must immediately go for physiotherapy sessions if they feel any discomfort.”

A total of 65 teams from SGT University participated in the event, with 17 teams making it to the grand finale. 6.) “Go Green” with the Faculty of Physiotherapy’s “Best out of Waste- Environment Savior” Competition!

On World Creativity and Innovation Day as per the latest SGT University News, the Faculty of Physiotherapy (FPHY) organized a “Best out of Waste-Environment Savior” Competition. This event was held under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Association of Orthocare and Rehab.

The esteemed panel of jury members included Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Pro-Chancellor & President, IIC, SGTU, and eminent scholars from various faculties who participated with enthusiasm and performed exceptionally well.
