The School of Behavioral Sciences in collaboration with
Centre of Excellence for Andragogical and Pedagogical Sciences
(CEAPS) and Office of International Relation, SGT University Organized a two-day
workshop titled “Empowering Pedagogy
through the NALI UTM Model” was conducted on 19th–20th January 2026 at SGT
University, New Delhi. The primary objective
of the workshop was to enhance educators’ competencies in innovative teaching
practices, with a focus on Computational
Thinking (CT), assessment strategies, and student-centered learning approaches.
The workshop commenced with an inaugural session, including lamp lighting, followed
by welcome addresses by
distinguished dignitaries. An overview of the workshop set the tone for the sessions
ahead. Day 1 primarily focused on
introducing the New Academia Learning Innovation (NALI) framework and its
application in transforming traditional
teaching into more interactive and student-centered approaches. Participants engaged
in ice-breaker activities, group
discussions, and collaborative tasks that encouraged critical thinking and active
learning. A classroom observation and
school visit further provided practical insights into real-life teaching practices.
Day 2 emphasized assessment for learning and effective course design. Sessions on
outcome-based education (OBE) and
student-centered learning (SCL) helped participants understand the importance of
aligning teaching methods with learning
outcomes. Interactive group activities, peer feedback sessions, and micro-teaching
exercises enabled participants to
apply theoretical concepts in practical settings.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session, participant feedback, and closing
remarks. Overall, the workshop was
highly informative and engaging, equipping participants with practical tools and
strategies to integrate CT and
NALI-based approaches, thereby fostering more effective and meaningful learning
experiences.
