assessment strategies. Day 1 focused on foundational concepts such as
competency-based assessment, blueprinting, and
workplace-based assessment tools. Participants were introduced to OSCE design,
including station blueprinting and
logistical considerations, followed by intensive group work on drafting OSCE
stations. Day 2 emphasized applied learning
through live demonstrations of OSCE scoring using checklists and global rating
scales, along with hands-on exercises on
constructing and piloting assessment tools. A brief overview of standard setting
methods further strengthened
participants’ understanding of assessment standardization.
Participants also engaged in station validation and quality assurance exercises,
culminating in the development of
actionable implementation plans for their respective institutions . The workshop
fostered a collaborative learning
environment that encouraged peer learning, critical reflection, and the exchange of
best practices.
Overall, the workshop successfully achieved its objective of enhancing faculty
capacity in assessment design, improving
reliability in evaluation, and promoting structured, competency-driven assessment
practices, thereby contributing to the
advancement of quality in health professions education at SGT University.
