Dr. Manpreet Arora graduated from Manipal College of Dental Science, Mangalore, Karnataka, in 2003 and completed her M.D.S. in Oral Pathology & Microbiology in 2006 from the prestigious Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal. She is currently working as Professor in the Department of Oral Pathology, Faculty of Dental Sciences SGT University. She has been part of the SGT Family since 2010. She has a teaching experience of more than 16 years and has presented various papers in National and International Conferences. She has many national and international publications to her credit, and is in the panel of examiners for both Under Graduate and Post Graduate in various universities. Also, she has authored and reviewed books of her own specialty. She believes that a dentist, particularly an Oral Pathologist needs to assume a leadership role in Early Diagnosis of Oral Cancer which is a growing problem globally and in India and her area of interest lies in the newer methods and techniques for timely detection of oral Cancer at a very early stage. She has a keen interest in Forensic odontology and has also done a Universal Certification Course of 1 Year in Forensic Science & Forensic Odontology. Besides being involved in teaching and the academic activities of the Department she is In-charge, Alumni Cell for the University, Chairperson of Steering Committee of Alumni Association of SGT University and is also involved in various University activities. Dr. Manpreet is a Member of the Indian Dental Association, a Life Member of the Indian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists, and a Life Member of the Indian Association of Forensic Odontologists. She actively participates in various specialty related conferences and continuing dental education programs and is very keen on the overall development of the students. She is a dynamic personality who is always ready to contribute to the development of the University.

Teaching Interests

  • Innovative teaching is extremely important component in academics . We have to kep polishing and improving our skills. My goal is to teach students how to apply their knowledge practically and to motivate them to explore new concepts in the field.

Research Interests

  • A dentist, perticularly an Oral Pathologist needs to assume a leadership role in Early Diagnosis of Oral Cancer which is a growing problem globally and in India. My area of interest lies in the newer methods and techniques for timely detection of oral Cancer at a very early stage
