SGT ka SPARSH - Assessment Camp Report

On May 22nd, 2024, SGT University conducted an assessment camp at Makrola Government Senior Secondary School in Makrola Village, located approximately 5 kilometers from the university campus. The camp aimed to evaluate the present level of functioning of 76 students from Class VI to XII, establishing a baseline for developing comprehensive plans to facilitate their holistic growth and development.

The students actively engaged in the process, enthusiastically expressing their opinions and perspectives. The school's headmistress extended a warm welcome to the team and encouraged the teaching and non-teaching staff to support the initiative. She ensured that the students were comfortably accommodated in the classrooms during the assessment.

The village head (Sarpanch) played a vital role in facilitating the successful execution of this endeavor. Furthermore, a dedicated room within the school premises was prepared to serve as a base for future SPARSH activities.

The assessment process involved a collaborative effort by faculty members from various departments at SGT University, including Assistant Professors Mr. Abhra Mukhopadhyay, Mr. Parveen Kumar Jaat, and Mr. Chandan Kumar Dubey from the Faculty of Education, Assistant Professor Ms. Megha Sharma from the Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sunita from the Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences. Students Ms. Lalita and Ms. Neha from the Faculty of Education also contributed to the data collection process, while Mr. Anil, an office peon from the Faculty of Education, assisted with photography.

The program was coordinated by Mr. Sunil Jaglan, Professor of Practice, and Prof. (Dr.) Madhavi Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Education at SGT University. The day proved memorable and delightful due to the joyful presence of the school's lovely students and the welcoming attitude of the school authorities.
