Guest Lecture on

Tunnels play a critical role in various aspects of infrastructure, transportation, and even environmental management. Tunnels are more than just passageways through mountains or under rivers; they are vital components of modern infrastructure that drive economic growth, enhance connectivity, and improve quality of life. Keeping this in view on May 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the Civil Engineering Department at SGTU organized a Guest Lecture on "Thought to Execution of Challenging Construction Projects: Sela Tunnel" by Lt. Col. Satyadev Singh, held in Room No. 308, E-Block. This event aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the complexities and innovative solutions involved in major construction projects. Lt. Col. Singh shared his expertise on various topics, including the project's lifecycle, engineering challenges, technological integration, teamwork, and leadership. His discussion emphasized the cutting-edge techniques and incredible teamwork that led to the successful completion of the Sela Tunnel, offering students a comprehensive understanding of real-world engineering applications and inspiring them to pursue excellence in their future careers.
