Dr. Prashant Tripathi
Associate Professor
Dr. Prashant Tripathi is working as an Assistant Professor (Physics) at Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana. He obtained his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Following his doctoral studies, he was honored with the CSIR Research Associateship and served as a Research Associate at the CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. During his tenure, he received the prestigious SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship and subsequently joined School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, to advance his research pursuits.
Dr. Tripathi's scholarly contributions include over 20 research articles published in renowned international journals, three book chapters, and two patents, one of which has been granted. His work has garnered approximately 1,100 citations on Google Scholar, an h-index of 14, and an i10 index of 16. His research primarily focuses on the synthesis of 0D, 1D, 2D, and 3D nanomaterials and their heterostructures, with applications spanning supercapacitors, field emission, EMI shielding, and hydrogen production. He participated and presented papers in several National/International Conferences, Workshops, etc. Furthermore, he has expertly mentored numerous Master’s students through their dissertation work and has offered invaluable guidance to doctoral candidates throughout their research journeys. In addition to his research, he actively contributes as a reviewer for a range of high-impact international journals such as the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Scientific Reports, IEEE journals, Energy Storage, Ionics, Nanotechnology, AIP Advances, IJER, IJMR, and Materials Today Proceedings. Furthermore, Dr. Tripathi serves as a Review Editor for Thin Solid Films and Frontiers in Materials, underscoring his significant role in advancing scientific knowledge.
Dr. Tripathi is a distinguished life member of several prestigious scientific societies, including The Indian Science Congress Association (L44091), the Indian Physics Association (LM-2023-DEL-13853), the Materials Research Society of India (LMB3773), and the Society for Materials Chemistry (LM-1896).
