The Faculty of Agriculture Sciences (FASC) was established in 2016 at SGT University. The Faculty of Agriculture aims to create and develop talented and entrepreneurial human resources and knowledge of agriculture technologies. It also keens to build leadership in agriculture science to ensure social equity, worldwide competitiveness, environmental sustainability and nutritional security. The Faculty of Agriculture Science is among the top agriculture college in Delhi NCR region.
‘Permanent Faculty’ and ‘the Guest Faculty’ provide junior research fellowship preparations and training to the students in their pre-final and final years of the Agriculture courses. The Centre for Language and Communication also helps the students develop their interpersonal skills, which they will require while working in a corporate sector.
State-of-the-art Infrastructure in the Faculty of Agriculture & Science
FASC has well-equipped classrooms with air conditioners and Smart LCD panels for digital learning. It also has an up-to-date library with books of the latest publications as per the recommendations of ICAR and provides user services through computers.
FASC has fully equipped labs for all subjects, including a soil testing lab funded by Govt. of Haryana and 75 acres of farmland for practical demonstration and research. They also have skill development and entrepreneurship modules, including Mushroom production, Beekeeping, Horticulture nursery, Seed production, Organic agriculture, post-harvest, etc.
Faculty majorly focuses on providing their students with appropriate field knowledge to boost their confidence which will help them excel in their particular fields. The faculty boast of having the best infrastructure among all the agriculture colleges in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR.
