Ms. Divya Sharma is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Faculty of Design at SGT University, Gurugram. She joined the university in 2023, bringing with her extensive experience from the fashion industry and a strong academic background. She holds a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from NIFT Mumbai, where she was awarded the Gold Medal, and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from NIFT Kangra. She also secured an All-India Rank of 28 in the NIFT Masters Entrance Exam (2017) and qualified the UGC-NET in her first attempt.

Before transitioning to academia, Ms. Sharma worked with leading fashion and retail brands such as Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (managing brands like Louis Philippe and Allen Solly) and Rangriti by BIBA. Her industry expertise spans ethnic wear design, fashion merchandising, and e-commerce operations. She has played a significant role in driving both online and offline growth for premium and mass-market fashion brands. She has also worked closely with artisan clusters, showcasing Indian cultural heritage through sustainable and contemporary design interventions.

In her academic journey, Ms. Sharma has actively contributed to national-level knowledge forums. She has presented her research work at prestigious academic conferences hosted by institutions such as IIT and Amity University, further strengthening her commitment to the advancement of fashion education and research.
