SGT University Organises Emergency Care & Ayurveda Awareness Program Along with Menstrual Health Camp
The Departments of Rachana Sharir and Kriya Sharir, Faculty of Indian Medical System (FIMS) – Ayurveda, SGT University, in collaboration with the National Reference Simulation Centre, organized an engaging Emergency Care and Ayurveda Awareness Program on 30th July 2025. The event aimed to spread awareness among school students about life-saving skills while promoting the importance of Ayurvedic practices in everyday health. The program began with a welcome and sapling ceremony, followed by hands-on training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Dr. Sakshi, Assistant Professor, Kriya Sharir Department, guided students on Ayurvedic primary care for common ailments, Dincharya (daily regimen), and Nadi Shodhan Pranayam. Dr. Abhilasha Bhardwaj, Department of Rachana Sharir, shared valuable techniques for stress relief and gut health, including Sthapani Marma stimulation and breathing exercises. To make the learning more interactive, a quiz competition with chocolate rewards was conducted, while a Nukkad Natak performed by BAMS 1st-year students creatively reinforced the importance of CPR. Informative pamphlets on CPR and Ayurvedic care were also distributed, ensuring the knowledge reached beyond the classroom.
On the same day, the Department of Prasuti evum Stree Roga, SGT Ayurvedic Hospital, conducted a Menstrual Awareness and Free Health Camp at TRH Public School. The session, led by Dr. Kanchan, Assistant Professor, encouraged open conversations about menstruation, focusing on breaking myths, promoting hygiene, nutrition, and creating awareness about menstrual disorders. The interactive session aimed to build confidence among young girls and empower them with accurate knowledge about menstrual health. Following the awareness program, free medical consultations were provided, and medicines were distributed to patients.
Both initiatives highlighted SGT University’s commitment to community health and holistic well-being, blending modern emergency care practices with traditional Ayurvedic knowledge to empower youth and women with practical health skills
