Prof. (Dr.) Ashwani Kumar Dwivedi

Prof. (Dr.) Ashwani Kumar Dwivedi is a distinguished legal academician, researcher, and administrator serving as Professor and Associate Dean, School of Law, SGT University, Gurugram. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, with doctoral research on “Social Security Legislations and Schemes for the Aged Persons: With Special Reference to the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.” He qualified UGC-NET and was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). With over 16 years of teaching and academic experience, his principal areas of expertise include Administrative Law, Law of Torts, Property Law, social security, and senior citizens’ rights and welfare. Prof. (Dr.) Dwivedi has significantly contributed to research supervision and mentoring. He has supervised three scholars who completed their Ph.D.’s, currently supervises six Ph.D. scholars, and has guided 20 LL.M. dissertations on diverse contemporary and interdisciplinary legal issues. He actively disseminates legal knowledge and has uploaded over 100 law lectures on YouTube. He also authored a book “Aging with Dignity in India”. He has published over 30 research papers in reputed journals and edited books and has presented research papers at numerous national and international academic forums. He has also served as a Moot Court judge, session chair, Ph.D. viva voce external expert, examiner, and resource person at various academic events.
