World Soil Day 2025 – Awareness Programme at Badsa Village, Gurugram

Theme: Healthy Soil for Healthy Cities


An awareness programme was successfully organized on 01 December 2025 at Badsa Village,
Gurugram to commemorate World Soil Day 2025. A total of 87 farmers participated with great
enthusiasm, reflecting their strong interest in sustainable and scientifically informed agricultural
practices.


The programme consisted of interactive and practical sessions aimed at enhancing the farmers’
understanding of soil health and resource management. The key technical sessions included:
 Soil Health Management and Combating Soil Degradation – Dr. Shakti Om Pathak
 Organic Composting and Vermicomposting Techniques – Dr. Manjeet Panwar
 Efficient Water Conservation Practices – Dr. Pooja Upadhyay
 Demonstration on Soil Sampling Techniques – Dr. Rajesh Mor
Hands-on demonstrations, especially on soil sampling, received excellent participation and
generated meaningful discussions among the farmers.
Overall, the initiative significantly contributed to raising awareness about sustainable and eco-
friendly farming practices. The active involvement and commitment of the farming community
towards protecting and improving soil health was truly encouraging.
