To foster global engagement and strengthen SGT University’s international presence by building sustainable academic and research collaborations, advancing intercultural understanding, and positioning the University as a globally respected hub of excellence in education, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
A Student Exchange Program is a collaborative academic initiative between universities in different countries that allows students to study abroad for a specific period—typically a semester or academic year. The goal is to promote cultural understanding, academic enrichment, and global exposure.Under this program, students remain enrolled at their home university while attending classes and participating in academic or research activities at a partner institution abroad. These exchanges involve credit transfers, ensuring that students do not lose academic progress during their time overseas.
Strengthens personal growth, adaptability, and independence
The overall cost of the program differs from course to course along with accommodation, visa procedures, flight tickets, meals etc. Some of our partner Universities offer a tuition fee-waiver thus encouraging international education at a nominal cost and helping them become culturally sensitive and global citizens.
SGT University offers faculty members the chance to teach or conduct research abroad — for one semester or a full academic year. This is your opportunity to explore global academic spaces and share your expertise.
(1) Research-Only – focusing on academic research abroad
(2) Teaching Exchange at partner institutions
The Office of International Relations (OIR) at SGT University remains deeply committed to fostering global academic engagement by building strategic partnerships with reputed universities and institutions worldwide. By promoting cross-cultural learning and international exposure, the office aims to nurture globally competent professionals equipped with the knowledge, innovation, and skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Through a comprehensive approach that includes international collaborations, faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, student mobility programs, and academic workshops, OIR has created a dynamic ecosystem that supports both academic excellence and holistic development. Special emphasis is placed on empowering students from healthcare disciplines such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, and allied health sciences to understand global healthcare challenges and best practices through intercultural immersion. Furthermore, informative seminars and training sessions on standardized international tests and guidance on global career pathways, have been instrumental in preparing students for higher education and employment opportunities abroad.
With a focus on long-term academic cooperation and mutual growth, SGT University continues to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international institutions. These agreements pave the way for collaborative research, innovation-driven learning, summer and winter schools, and student/faculty exchange programs — all of which are essential components of SGT’s mission to globalize education and inspire future-ready graduates.

It made me think about how all around the world nurses all want the same thing. And that is to care for & help their patients feel loved & comforted
2nd Year, Junior Nursing Program
The biggest difference was caring for the soul of a person. I feel that’s what the western medicine is missing
2nd Year, Junior Nursing Program
The schooling is more intense. It’s more hands on. Nurses can do more (i.e. baby delivery)
2nd Year, Junior Nursing Program
This changed how I see nursing. Healing isn’t about just the body; it’s also about the mind and spirit
2nd Year, Junior Nursing Program
India showed me what holistic care really looks like, where tradition meets science
2nd Year, Junior Nursing Program
The students treated us like a family, checking on us, walking us to class, making sure we were never alone
