Dr. Sandhya have completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree in medical parasitology from Department of Medical Parasitology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in July 2020 with availing ICMR (JRF &SRF) fellowship (2014 -2019) Mainly she worked in research area of diagnostic test generation and validation for different parasitic infections diagnosis and molecular parasitology. During her PhD degree she have completed two national project entitled ‘STH Prevalence survey in state of Telangana and Rajasthan in year 2019’ and also she was recommended by her department for International Project work for three times entitled ZooPa “paper writing course’’ during March 2017, in student exchange research project with in ZooPa “Hands on course’’ during January 2016 , ZooPa “ Hands on course’’ on “Analytical techniques for produce and water for parasites’’ held from 17th– 24th june 2015, at the Norwegian university of life science (NMBU) Adamstuen campus, Oslo, Norway. At present her one of ongoing intramural project entitled ‘To Study the prevelance of MRSA in nasal microbiota after pandemic in healthcare workers of SGT medical college and research University Budhera, Gurugram’(Sanrachna funded). she has a life time membership of IAMBSS/LM/124. Currently she is supervising 1 PhD and 4 MSc candidate.
She was also awarded as winner in the event chorionits (group naati dance) held in Zenith -2015 at PGIMER, Chandigarh on October 4th, 2015.

• Rapid point of care tests generated and validated for different parasitic infections diagnosis.
• Molecular parasitology: Gene expression studies and host factors responsible for progression of disease to its severe stage.
