Panel Discussion on “Analysis of Union Budget 2025”

On February 6, 2025, SGT University's Finance Club (School of Commerce and Management), in partnership with the Industry Collaboration and Internship Affairs (ICIA) and the Federation of Indian Industry (FII), held a panel discussion on “Analysis of Union Budget 2025.”

The panel featured prominent experts and industry leaders: Vinod K Bapna (Executive Director & CEO, Caparo Maruti Ltd.), Dr. Deepak Jain (Director General, FII), CA Atul Kumar Gupta (Chairperson, GST Committee, FII), CA Yatinder Khemka (Chairperson, Banking & Finance Committee, FII), Dr. Gunjan Tripathi (Advisor, Finance Club, FCAM, SGTU), and Dr. G. L. Khanna (Advisor, SGT University). Mr. Shalindar Vyas moderated the discussion, followed by an interactive Q&A session with students.

Key discussion themes included tax reforms and the GST framework, budget allocations and India’s $2 trillion economic vision, MSME sector growth, startup challenges and government investments, industrial expansion and domestic market strengthening, and the burgeoning sports economy, projected to reach $130 billion.
