School of Design and L&D Team Host Insightful Session on Communication and Body Language

The School of Design in collaboration with the Learning & Development (L&D) team, organized an engaging session on Communication and Body Language on the 27th of March 2025. The event aimed to enhance students' professional presence and interpersonal skills, which are essential for thriving in the creative industry.

The session kicked off with an interactive discussion on the power of effective communication, highlighting the impact of tone, clarity, and confidence. Through real-life scenarios and activities, students learned how to express their ideas clearly and persuasively.

A key focus of the session was body language, where students discovered how gestures, posture, and eye contact influence their message. The trainers demonstrated how subtle non-verbal cues can significantly impact first impressions during interviews and presentations.

Students actively participated in confidence-building exercises, helping them refine their speaking skills and stage presence. The session also covered tips on active listening and emotional intelligence, essential for fostering meaningful connections in the design world.
