GRADUATION FASHION SHOW 2023 – परिधानम

SGT University held the annual fashion show ‘PARIDHAANAM’ for its graduating batch of students on 29th September 2023. The event showcased mesmerizing collections of garments made by the students from scratch. The design collections were showcased in nine sequences inspired by various elements. While one of the students took inspiration from the blue pottery technique used on porcelain items another student showcased his flair for fashion by playing around with a simple idea like ink stains using patchwork on denim.


 

The award for the best design collection was grabbed by Tanya Dubey, who took inspiration for her collection from graffiti art found on the streets, followed by the most creative and the most commercial collections won by Lalit Singh and Tarun Jalal respectively. Hon’ble Vice chancellor Prof. (Dr.) O P Kalra graced the event as the Chief Guest while eminent personalities from the industry like Ms. Leena Singh (ace Indian fashion designer & owner of luxury women’s fashion brand ‘Ashima Leena’) and Ms. Shruti Sharma (advisor of the School of Design, SGT University) graced the event as Guests of Honours. Pro vice chancellors of the university Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan and Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa as well as the CEO Mr. Anil S Kumar were also present during the fashion event.
