The School of Design at SGT University had the privilege of hosting Ella Davis from the University of the Arts London (UAL) for a Portfolio Guidance Session on February 2nd, 2024. Known for its world-class creative programs, UAL offers a gateway to global design careers, making Ella’s visit a valuable experience for the students.

During the session, Ella shared practical tips on building strong, professional portfolios, emphasizing the power of originality and storytelling. She encouraged students to showcase their creative journeys through clear, well-curated projects, rather than overwhelming their portfolios with excessive work.

Using real-life examples, Ella demonstrated how effective layout, consistency, and presentation can make portfolios stand out. She also gave personalized feedback, helping students refine their work with fresh perspectives.

The session wrapped up with an interactive Q&A, where Ella offered insights into international design programs, applications, and career pathways. Her expertise left students feeling inspired and more confident about showcasing their skills on a global stage.
