Two days workshop on Fashion Choreography

On the 29th and 30th of August 2024, SGT University hosted a two-day Fashion Choreography Workshop led by Mr. Amar Mithapalli, a renowned fashion choreographer and design educator. The workshop, designed for aspiring fashion professionals, aimed to introduce students to the dynamic world of fashion shows and choreography.

Over the course of two days, Mr. Mithapalli covered various aspects of fashion choreography, including runway techniques, model coordination, and stage presentation. The workshop began with an introduction to the essentials of fashion show planning, such as music selection, lighting, and set design, followed by practical sessions where students learned to coordinate model walks and synchronize movements with thematic presentations.

The hands-on approach allowed participants to experience the intricacies of fashion choreography, from timing to posture, helping them understand how a well-choreographed show enhances the overall presentation of garments. Students also had the opportunity to practice backstage management and understand the collaborative effort required to produce a successful fashion show.

The workshop concluded with a mock fashion show, where students showcased their newly acquired skills. It was a highly interactive and enriching experience for all attendees, equipping them with valuable knowledge for their future careers in fashion.
