Workshop on ‘Recent Trends in Digital Embroidery’

On 26th October 2023, a workshop on ‘Recent Trends in Digital Embroidery’ was conducted in the Fashion and Design Department of SGT University. This informative and engaging event was coordinated by Ms. Shweta Saini, and the workshop featured Mr. Amit Gautam, an expert in the field of Digital Embroidery from the renowned USHA International Ltd, Gurugram.


 

The workshop emphasised the importance of digital embroidery in today’s times in the fashion and apparel industry in India. Mr. Amit Gautam delivered a comprehensive presentation on the latest trends in the field of digital embroidery. He discussed the recent advancements as well as the tools and software that have recently come up in the industry. Other topics that were discussed were the cutting-edge techniques for creating intricate and unique embroidery designs as well as the insights into market demands and consumer preferences.


 

During the workshop, students got a hands-on experience in digital embroidery. They worked on making samples practicing different techniques and using modern machines under the able guidance of Mr. Gautam. The workshop concluded with an open session inviting questions from the faculty and students which encouraged active participation and skill development. In totality, the workshop was beneficial for the students to get detailed insights and a hands-on experience into the world of digital embroidery.
