Dr. Dikshika Jakhar [Ph.D. (Economics), UGC-NET Qualified, M.A. (Economics), B.Com ] is currently serving as Assistant Professor at SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana, in the Department of Liberal Studies and Social Sciences. Prior to this, she held faculty positions at JK Business School, Gurugram and Amity University, Noida, and contributed as a policy intern at NITI Aayog, Government of India, where she was involved in development-oriented research and policy evaluation. Dr. Jakhar’s academic journey has been shaped by a strong foundation in economics and research. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Amity University, Noida in 2024, and was awarded the National Eligibility Test (NET) by UGC in 2019. She holds a Master’s in Economics from Panjab University and a Bachelor’s from the University of Delhi, consistently excelling throughout her academic record. She has an impressive research portfolio, with around 15 research papers published in ABDC, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE journals, including one in a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal – Kronika Journal. She has also contributed five book chapters, including one in a forthcoming Springer volume. Her research spans a wide range of themes including Managerial Economics, Production, Sustainable Livelihoods, Gender and Informal Sectors, and Technological efficiency in Emerging Economies.
