Course Overview

The B.A. (Hons. with Research) in Economics is a flexible and forward-thinking 3-year or 4-year undergraduate program aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Offered by SGT University, Gurgaon — one of India’s top institutions for Social Sciences — this program builds a strong foundation in Indian economic system, process mechanism, economic policy and global economic challenges. It offers diverse courses ranging from, preparing students for impactful careers in civil services, media, public policy, research, and diplomacy. 

Over a period of three and four years, the students will go through substantive academic deliberations on Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Theories, Indian Economy and Development, Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Economics, International Economics and Trade, Banking and Financial Sector in India, Indian Economic Reforms, Public Finance, among others that explore contemporary economic and policy issues.
