The BAMS Syllabus at SGT University is given below. The BAMS Syllabus is designed to focus on the theoretical knowledge of the BAMS subject and the practical training of the BAMS subject. The BAMS program requires four-and-a-half years of study before adding one year of compulsory internship. The BAMS syllabus is divided into three phases:

First Phase (1st & 2nd Year):

An Introduction to Ayurveda and Sanskrit
Rachana Sharira (Anatomy)
Kriya Sharira (Physiology)
Dravyaguna Vigyana (Ayurvedic Pharmacology)

Second Phase (3rd Year):

Roga Nidana (Pathology and Diagnostic Principles)
Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals)
Charak Samhita (Classical Ayurvedic Text Study)

Third Phase (Final Year):

Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine)
Shalya Tantra (Surgery)
Shalakya Tantra (Eye, ENT, and Dental Care)
Prasuti Tantra & Striroga (Obstetrics and Gynecology)
Kaumarbhritya (Pediatrics)

The last year is then an internship, which rotates for one year through different departments to gain clinical skills.
