When institutions join forces to rethink the future, ideas find power and direction. On June 10, 2025, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University will co-host a national seminar titled “Bihar Leads the Rising East” in Patna, in collaboration with Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP), Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), and the Public Policy Research Centre (PPRC).

The seminar has been initiated by Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Former Member of Rajya Sabha and Vice Chairman of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, and Shri Rambahadur Rai, Chancellor of SGT University. Joining the organising leadership are Shri Kumod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer at CIMP, CEO of CIMP-BIIF, and President of TiE Patna, and Shri Kamlakant Pathak, Organising Team Member.

The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar, with Shri Samrat Choudhary and Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar, in attendance.

The speaker lineup brings together a diverse and distinguished set of voices. Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha; Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog; Shri Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India; Shri Sanjay Jha, National President of Janata Dal (United); Shri Vinod Tawde, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party; Shri Anand Shekhar, Additional Mission Director at NITI Aayog; Ms. Shradha Sharma, Founder and CEO of YourStory; and Dr. Guru Prakash, Assistant Professor of Law at Patna University, will share their perspectives on Bihar’s transformation story.

The Valedictory Session will be graced by Hon’ble Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, Governor of Kerala, as the Chief Guest. From governance and rural development to youth empowerment and innovation in policy, this seminar is a blueprint for reimagining Bihar as a rising powerhouse, driven by purpose, people, and partnership.
