Hands on Workshop –“Laryngectomies on Goat’s Larynx”

Introduction: As per vision of Honorable Chairman, Sh. Manmohan Singh Chawla ji to upgrade the skills of residents and faculty, Department of ENT organized Hands on Workshop –“Laryngectomies on Goat’s Larynx Hands on Training” Dr Bhushan Kathuria is an expert on the subject with over 09 years of experience on the field.

Objective of the workshop: This hands on workshop aimed at upgrading the skills of residents and faculty of ENT Department in better understanding the anatomy of larynx and indications and various techniques of Laryngectomy. Brief content of Workshop:After a brief inauguration by the FMHS HOD ENT-Dr. Vikas Kakkar. Dr Bhushan Kathuria delivered lectureon Laryngectomies– indications and various techniques.

The session was graced by the attendance of a renowned ENT surgeon from Rohtak, Dr Sunil Munjal. The presentation was followed by hands on demonstrationof dissection on goat’s larynx, regarding various approaches in laryngectomy followed by interactive hands on physical training by post graduates and Junior faculty of ENT Department. Senior residents of PGIMS Rohtak also participated in the hands on workshop.
